During the 2011 field season, the staff of the Research Station RAS (Vladislav Batalev, Vitaly Matyukov, Anton Aladyev) have replenished the collection of the low-crust and upper-mantle rock samples for petrologic studies and laboratory measurements of the physical properties under high PT-parameters.
The collection has been replenished with the following samples::
- Mafic granulites from basalt outcrops on the Orto-Suu river, Ak-Sai depression, southern Tien Shan described in [1], photo 1
- Spinel lherzolites from basalt outcrops on the Orto-Suu river, Ak-Sai depression, southern Tien Shan described in [1], photo 2
- Eclogites from the At-Bashy mountain range (Kem-Bel river) [2], photo 3
- Eclogites from the At-Bashy mountain range (Kem-Bel river) [3], photo 4
- Eclogites from the Ak-Tuz mountain area, Zailiyskiy Ala-Too mountain range [4], photo 5
- Garnetiferous peridotites (?) from the Ak-Tuz mountain area, Zailiyskiy Ala-Too mountain range (oral presentation of Buslov M.M.), photo 6
- Eclogites from the Makbal mountain area, Kyrgyz Range were kindly provided by Konopelko D.L.
