For the development of stable bilateral international scientific relations of the Research Station RAS, the Laboratory of Deep Magnetotelluric Studies realized the collaboration with foreign national institutes and universities of the near and far abroad. In the context of contracts and agreements signed by the RS RAS with foreign colleagues, such countries as Germany, France, Belgium, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, etc., joint field research is carried out, schools-seminars are organized, working meetings and consultations are held, joint publications are being prepared. The LDMS also conducts probations for young scientists from different countries, including on the basis of the Center for Collective Use of the RS RAS, in order to improve their professional training.

Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science, the Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Bishkek and the Helmholtz Center Potsdam, GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences (German Research Geodynamic Center GFZ) and the Contract about scientific and technical cooperation between the RS RAS , IRC-GPG and the Institute of Geology, Earthquake-Resistant Construction and Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of the Tajikistan Republic (IGSSS AS RT) The Laboratory of Deep Magnetotelluric Research german and tajik colleagues realized the International Project -" Tien Shan-Pamir Monitoring Program ( TIPTIMON) ".

In the progress of project, the result was obtained, which was recommended in the annual report of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2014.

Using the two-dimensional inversion of magnetotelluric data, a deep geoelectric model of the lithosphere of the conjunction zone of the Pamir and Tien Shan was constructed along the submeridional regional profile “TIPAGE-ALAI” (Fig. 1). An area of low resistivity under the Transalai range was revealed, spatially confined to the zone of the Main Pamir thrust. The high conductivity of this zone is determined by the presence and high concentration of graphite films.

Blue circles show the sounding points of the profile, red cicrles - the nearest settlements, red lines - the main faults (MPT - Main Pamir thrust (Trans-Alai fault)), the dark outline shows the conductive structure corresponding to the MPT. One of the striking examples of international cooperation is the work on the study of tectonics and evolution of the intermontane depressions of the Tien Shan confined to the Talas-Fergana fault, carried out by the RS RAS in cooperation with French and Belgian colleagues.

Cooreration with the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences is carried out within the context of realization of international projects, RSF and RFBR projects, the organization of scientific events, etc. The main partners of the LDMS are the geophysical company LLC "North-West", the Geological Institute of the RAS, the Institute of Physics of the Solid Earth named after O. Yu. Schmidt, Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics named after A.A. Trofimuk.
