Since 2009, the International Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Modern Equipment and Technologies in Scientific Research" has been held annually at the Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Bishkek (RS RAS). The 18th "Molodezhka" was held in 2026: the event, held in a hybrid format from April 22 to 24, 2026, brought together approximately 70 participants from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
The main goals pursued by the event's organizers are to improve the level of scientific research and expand the scientific horizons of young scientists and students, integrate science and education, develop the creative activity of young scientists, and popularize scientific research conducted by RS RAS

The conference operated in a hybrid format, with 47 papers presented in breakout sessions (in person and online). The event's core scientific focus covered a broad range of topics and allowed participants to present research results in the fields of Earth and environmental sciences (sections "Integrated Geological and Geophysical Research in Seismically Active Regions" and "Natural and Man-Made Hazards"), as well as mechanics, physics, mathematics, and other natural sciences and engineering (section "Interdisciplinary Papers").

On April 24, the closing day of the Conference, a series of seminars were held, during which guests and participants of the Conference become acquainted with the main areas of RS RAS scientific research activities.

The Conference Proceedings, which will contain the full text of the presented papers, are planned for publication in the fall of 2026. Conference Proceedings are registered with the Book Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic and indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) information and analytical system (https://elibrary.ru/).
