Laboratory of Studying Modern Movements of the Earth’s Crust by Space Geodesy (LGPS)

LGPS was established on February 19, 2001, and is one of the main scientific units in the structure of the Federal State Budget Institution of Science Research Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Bishkek (RS RAS).

Aims and Objectives: The main activity of LGPS is aimed at studying modern moving forces and geodynamic processes. The laboratory is engaged in the complex interpretation of geodetic and seismic data using the results of related earth sciences; assessment of the accuracy of geodetic measurements methods, improved methods of obtaining data.

The laboratory consists of 14 people.
